Please say hello to another of the faces behind GHGH, Eliza Truitt of Eliza Truitt Photography! Eliza has been a full-time photographer for six years and is one of the founders of Get Hitched, Give Hope. This year she is serving as the VP of Public Relations, as well as once again being a Presenting Sponsor. Eliza told me, "I care so much about this event—I’ve been working on it since the very beginning and I’m so proud of how far we’ve come and how much money we’ve been able to raise!"

Eliza, what do you love about your work? I love starting the day with the bride when she’s still in regular clothes getting her hair and makeup done and then documenting the transition from being an everyday woman to being a bride. Then as the day goes on I get to document the next transition—from being single to being married! I love the ways weddings are all inclusive—they mix up old friends, new friends, and two families all together. Weddings are such and uplifting and transformative day and it’s so incredibly cool that I get to be a witness to that.
How are you participating this year? I’m working with the PR team (which includes you, our faithful and dedicated blogger!) to spread the word about the Get Hitched, Give Hope to anyone who’ll listen. I’m also donating a photography package to the silent auction.
Anything else you'd like to share with the world? I love real life—I don’t care if everything is perfect or not—it’s amazing just the way it is. I think that the everyday world is fascinating and beautiful and I try to express that in my photography.
