Have you purchased your tickets yet for this year’s Get Hitched Give Hope? Great! That means you will have the opportunity to bid on an amazing package from Ray’s Boathouse Catering. Their waterfront location on Shilshole Bay is breathtaking, not to mention the amazing fresh Northwest style seafood! I had a blast chatting with Amy Stevens, Ray’s Senior Catering Sales Manager, she is one of those people who always has a smile on her face and can instantly brighten your day.
Amy, tell us about your work with Ray’s Boathouse Catering…
I am excited to say that I have been with Ray’s for 10 years. I applied for their first catering administrative assistant role and got the job! Since then, I have been promoted to the Senior Catering Sales Position where I help guests build memorable, fun, polished and delicious events.
I am truly blessed and grateful for what I get to do at Ray’s Boathouse Catering. I absolutely love the people that I come in contact with and the freedom that Ray’s allows me to help folks plan a very meaningful occasion. I get to say “yes” a lot and it’s fun, too!!!
What drew you to participate in Get Hitched Give Hope?
As a woman, I have been touched by breast cancer. I care about this disease, Get Hitched Give Hope is a way to give hope to those in need. This is the 2nd year that Ray’s Catering and I have been involved and we are thrilled to be a part of the hope.
We’re glad you are partnering with us again this year! Tell me a little bit about what you will be donating this year…
Ray’s Boathouse Catering will have a bistro table in the silent auction. We are providing our waterfront banquet room for a rehearsal dinner site as the silent auction item. I love the view from our banquet room – it’s the perfect Northwest setting for celebrating with family and friends.
What makes Ray’s Boathouse & Catering such a special touch for weddings?
Without a doubt, the amazing food and high quality of beverages we offer combined with the complete hospitality package we provide to everyone….guests and vendors included! The team at Ray’s is proud that we give prompt, thorough, polished, gracious, flexible, real and warm hospitality. We genuinely care about our guests – we want to work with you, not for you. Our goal is to build a connection and relationship that is lasting and memorable. Plus, we have fresh and real food, we are right on the waterfront of the Puget Sound and we offer complimentary parking. Again, I get to say yes a lot, everyday!
If you could pass along any advice to an engaged couple, what would it be?
Really listen to one another, do what the two of you want to do and what makes you feel good, and seek out experienced role models that you can learn from.
Thank you so much Amy! How can we stay in touch?
