We are super excited to be welcoming a new face into the role of President of Get Hitched Give Hope this year!

Welcome Christopher Smith of Christopher Flowers!

While new to the president role, he is not new to Get Hitched Give Hope or to the Seattle wedding scene. His beautiful floral arrangements have adorned the tables and enhanced the beauty of weddings and private events in the Seattle area since 2003. With an aesthetic to beautiful design while presenting the natural beauty of each flower, he is a true talent in our community.

We are very excited to have him heading up the team this year!

What do you do for GHGH and how long have you been involved?

I am honored to be serving as GHGH President this year. This is my third year as a team member and my fifth being involved with GHGH.  It’s very exciting to think that this is the 5th Anniversary of Get Hitched Give Hope.  We are all working very hard to make sure it’s the biggest year yet!

What brought you to GHGH?

I remember Barbie Hull telling me about it when it was still in the idea stage, and I’m thrilled to have been a part of it from nearly the beginning.

What is your favorite part of your experience with GHGH?

Seeing the various talents and passions of folks from all facets of the wedding world come together to make dreams come true for people in need is really incredible.  Getting to know so many colleagues through working together on a worthy cause is an immense pleasure.

What is your favorite part of the wedding industry?

The boundless creativity!

You own  :: Christopher Flowers. What drew you to your job?

I’ve always been fascinated by flowers and botany.  Being a floral designer lets me combine my loves of nature and art.

Do you have any insider secrets to tell our brides to make their planning / enjoying of their wedding easier?

Be up-front and candid about your budget when meeting with wedding professionals.  It will save you time and they will appreciate your honesty.

Are you married? And if you are, what was your favorite part of your wedding or what would you have done differently?

My partner of 14+ years and I are hoping that we will be able to get married here in Washington State sometime very soon…  I never thought I’d get to plan my own wedding, so I’m just starting to think about what I would want to do!

What color shoes do you plan to wear to this year’s event?

Men have it easy – black J
