What do you do for GHGH and how long have you been involved?
I am the VP of Events, so I plan the party & make sure it is a fabulous one. This is my 4th year being involved.

What brought you to GHGH?
It was started by my friends & colleagues and not only did I want to support them, I wanted to support their amazing vision & giving hearts!

What is your favorite part of your experience with GHGH?
When we find out how much we have raised to help people. Knowing that I was a part of that & helped to get to that number is a warm fuzzy feeling that cannot be beat!

What is your favorite part of the wedding industry?
Meeting wonderful people.

You own  :: Parker Events . What drew you to your job?
I love to organize & create beautiful things. Add, helping people on top of that & my profession is a pretty perfect match for me.

Tell us the most unique thing you saw at a wedding, or were asked to do for a wedding:
I feel like some things were unique at the time but, are now popular ideas. I absolutely love doing distinctive things for my events, so I am having a challenging time thinking of one. Anytime a couple really uses their own personality, unique fabulous tends to ensue. I have one client who may be having a Parade for the ceremony. Now that is fabulous!
Do you have any insider secrets to tell our brides to make their planning / enjoying of their wedding easier?
Hire at least a Day Of coordinator so that you and your family can relax & not actually work on your special day. If you are doing the pre-planning yourself, get things checked off your list sooner rather than later. You will be grateful at the end when other “unseen” things land on your plate & you have the time to handle them without stressing.
Are you married? And if you are, what was your favorite part of your wedding or what would you have done differently?
Yep! My favorite part was saying our vows. My husband wrote them & they were very, very special. It is nice to have a lovely party but at the end of the day you are joining yourself to another person & that is a very beautiful thing. I would have incorporated more colors, or rather slightly tweaked my color palate for the day.

What color shoes do you plan to wear to this year’s event?
Oh goodness! It is so early! A girl has to shop first. I have no idea, because I have to find my dress. They will be colorful, they will be beautiful…wherever they are.
