Well, then it should go without saying that food is an essential part of your wedding… and not just of the main “wedding” part of your wedding either.
I know, your mind probably went to the rehearsal dinner, and you probably have a little mental check mark next to that part of your planning, but have you thought on the post wedding meals? Specifically the brunch the day after the wedding.
I thought naught. Read on (this is why we are here… to save you from missing anything!)
It’s often looked over until the last minute, but if you have family in from out of town (or any reason really!), your post wedding brunch is an esential last stage of your wedding festivities.
That is, of course, unless you are hopping on a plane RIGHT away. But, for your own sake, I hope you don’t.

Tell us a little bit about the Cafe!! What do you specialize in?
At Portage Bay Café & Catering, we use seasonal, local, organic, and sustainable ingredients to create customized menus that will win rave reviews from your guests.
Our chef’s ingredients come from a variety of local sources including: produce from Full Circle Farms, grass fed beef from Painted Hills Natural Beef, humanely raised pork from Carlton Farms, in-house baked goods using Bluebird Farms organic grains, and organic fair trade coffee roasted by Fonte Coffee Roasters.
Our experienced event planners specialize in creating delicious and memorable events from start to finish.
What drew you to the wedding industry?
The first time we were asked to cater a wedding, we were flattered. The second time, we were slightly perplexed, and now we cater weddings almost every weekend of the spring, summer and fall. So, we would like to say we chose the wedding industry, but the truth is – it chose us!

What makes this donation interesting/amazing?
Post-wedding brunches are a fantastic way to bring your family and bridal party together the next morning to re-hash your special day. And, if you have ever had our amazing freshly baked Challah French toast, you’ll know why it’s special.
Is this your first year with with us or have you participated with GHGH in the past??
This is our first year participating in GHGH, but boy are we excited!

Our slogan is, “Eat like you give a damn!”
We have been serving up breakfast and lunch at our three Seattle Cafes for 15 years, and were one of the very first to focus our menus on local, organic and seasonal ingredients.
Tell us the most unique thing you saw at a wedding / were asked to do for a wedding?
We are catering a three course menu, featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner hors d’oeuvres served family style for wedding reception this summer
Do you have any insider secrets to tell our brides to make their planning (and enjoyment of their wedding) easier?
Make a list of the most important things to you for your wedding day. For some it’s the food and for others it’s the wedding dress or the photographer. Focus on those things first, and you will be able to relax as your day nears!
