You start perusing what is in store for the night. What might you find among the silent auction tables? What might catch your eye at the raffle table? Just what package will get you raising your number during the live auction?
Well, each and every one of the donations we will be auctioning off on November 8th have been procured by the amazing Krista Simmons of Prive Events and the rest of her team. You see, Krista is our VP of Procurement. She heads the team that reaches out to all the amazing vendors you have been reading about and getting excited over.
Get Hitched Give Hope would literally not happen if it wasn’t for the hard work of Krista and her team… and that says something seeing that she is owner of the growing planning and bartending wedding business Prive Events as well!

Interested in just what makes Krista tick? Check out our team interview below!What do you do for GHGH and how long have you been involved? I am the VP of Procurement for GHGH. I first volunteered with the organization three years ago and am honored to be a part of the team this year. What brought you to GHGH? I believe that the GHGH organization raises funds for a great cause and they have a solid mission. A full year of hard work goes into each annual auction and it is inspirational to be part of an organization that is always looking for additional ways to give back.
What is your favorite part of your experience with GHGH?
The fact that we are helping people and hopefully bringing a little joy to their life. The GHGH family is full of some many inspirational participants that seem to have unlimited amounts of passion for love, life and people; who wouldn’t want to join in the fun to do their part?
What is your favorite part of the wedding industry? The little memorable moments that we get to be a part of in people’s lives. I love how every event is different and unique for each couple.
You own :: Prive Events, a event planning and staffing company in Seattle. What drew you to your job? Hire a great coordinator and team that you are able to trust to bring your vision to life. You and your family should be relaxing and enjoying every minute of your special day. You should not be stressed, worrying if things are going to come together.
Tell us the most unique thing you saw at a wedding / were asked to do for a wedding?
I had the privilege of planning a fusion wedding last year (2011) that incorporated multiple cultural elements in so many creative ways. From the surprise voicemails by relatives around the world, that were unable to attend the event, being played throughout the evening; to the four different Indian and Irish dance groups that preformed between each course, the guests were continuously awed by the elements of surprise that made this event one to rememberAre you married? And if you are, what was your favorite part of your wedding or what would you have done differently? No, I am not married. I love the fun of planning weddings & parties for others. I get to use all my ideas that way and play with so many different themes What color shoes do you plan to wear to this year’s event? Ooh, with this year’s theme there are so many fun ideas for attire. I hope to find a great pair of t-strap heels to dress up with a little vintage inspiration.
