What do you do for GHGH and how long have you been involved? I’m the Monthly Event Photographer and this is my first year on the GHGH team! What brought you to GHGH? I can’t say enough about how awesome the ladies and gents are that are involved in this organization. I was inspired by their energy and commitment to giving back, saw it and said “I want me some of that”.
What is your favorite part of your experience with GHGH?
So far, it’s a great feeling to see all of these people with incredibly busy lives giving of themselves in such a huge way. I’m a super fan of all of our volunteers and sponsors.
You own :: Laura Marchbanks Photography, a Seattle based wedding photography company. What drew you to your job? I own a boutique photography studio that specializes in wedding and engagement storytelling. I’m the CEO and head groundskeeper.

Do you have any insider secrets to tell our brides to make their planning / enjoying of their wedding easier?
There are NO RULES. It’s a change we’ve seen coming in the last 5 years or so, and the trend feels good. Forget about doing anything you’ve seen and create something that is uniquely you. Forgetting about the pressures that traditions place on how your day runs, gives you freedom. And Champagne, lots of champagne.
Are you married? And if you are, what was your favorite part of your wedding or what would you have done differently?
YES! My husband and I were married in August of 2010. My favorite part of the entire wedding was walking down the aisle and seeing the faces of 140 people I love the most in the world. I could feel their love surrounding me. It was AMAZING.What color shoes do you plan to wear to this year’s event? ACK! Better start shopping!
