What brought you to GHGH? I had received an email regarding the event and it looked really fun. I reached out to Barbie Hull and the more she told me the more I knew I had to be involved in some capacity. It was the best decision!
What is your favorite part of your experience with GHGH?
I have loved getting to know all the different team members that I hadn’t already met through the wedding industry. Seeing the hard work and passion people put into this event (all volunteer time) is really amazing. And, of course, seeing the event come together and the impact it has on the beneficiaries is a great feeling.
You own Very Important Events, an event planning company in Seattle. What drew you to your job? I am the Owner/Event Planner for Very Important Events. I got involved with event planning in college and once I realized that I could make a career out of it, I began my own business a year out of school. I love working will all different kinds of people and helping to put together truly incredible events.
Do you have any insider secrets to tell our brides to make their planning / enjoying of their wedding easier?
I would absolutely hire a wedding planner. I believe having the right planner to help, at least the few weeks leading up to your wedding and on the wedding day, will give couples the peace of mind that everything will come together just the way they wanted. Aside from hiring a planner, I would say just make sure to have fun and enjoy the journey. Yes, it can be stressful at times but always remember that you are marrying your love and that is what is most important.
What color shoes do you plan to wear to this year’s event? Red, sparkly heels 😉
