Post-Wedding Thoughts: Part 2

money fanned outDon’t forget automatic tax and tip…

When building your budget, remember that there are some vendors who are going to automatically tack on tax and tip. So if you have a budget for $2000 for booze, remember that the bill will turn into $2600 at the end of the night. It doesn’t hurt to ask your vendors what their tax and tip policy is, I’m sure they will be more than willing to tell you.

Don’t forget that you have no control over cleanup…

Hopefully at the end of the night you are on cloud nine and run out the door with your new husband and everything was perfect. Remember that there are people you have to ask to stay to clean up, and that some time the next day (or whenever you come back from your honeymoon) you probably need to get a hold of them and track down all of your stuff.

Don’t forget to review your vendors…

Social media is a make-it-or-break-it aspect of marketing for companies now. After your wedding is over, take the time to write them a brief review. Helping other brides know what you loved (or didn’t) about your vendors is priceless.

Don’t forget to say thank you…

Thank yous go a long way. Believe me!

She is one of our fabulous giver brides from 2012 who walked into Get Hitched Give Hope with the intent on getting married in Jamaica in 2014, and walked out with packages and vendors she fell in love with, and a new plan for a fall 2013 Seattle wedding. Sarah will be bringing us thoughts on the wedding industry and wedding planning from the perspective of a bride who isn’t the traditional “been dreaming of my wedding since I was five” type of girl.
