Well, look what landed in my inbox today… a sweet letter from Thomas Rollerson, founder of the Dream Foundation. This organization works pure magic for loved ones who are in their final days of life; they deliver dreams. This simple concept is what drew Get Hitched Give Hope to them- we loved their mission and story and how they bring a little bit of sunshine to those who may be facing some very dark days, so we were excited to choose Dream Foundation to be one of our beneficiaries for the 2013 fundraising year.
Tom and his crew visited us during our big 2013 bridal gala (recap post to follow!!! squee!!!!), and we were so touched by their words. Here they are.
Dearest Dream Makers,
Thank you all for making our time in Seattle so special. The love emanating from everyone at Get Hitched, Give Hope was tangible and easily felt. Love for a partner, a friend, a family member, or simply love for another human being… Love is what makes the world go round and there is clearly no shortage in Seattle! We brought home many memories from our time together and hope you did, too.
As we celebrate 19 years of making dreams come true for adults and their families suffering life-threatening illness, we are overwhelmed with precious memories and thankful for meaningful relationships developed during these years. As the holidays approach, we can all think of things we’re thankful for.
Dream Foundation is thankful to call Get Hitched, Give Hope family. You are part of a compassionate and committed group that gives the gift of memories that will ultimately become the legacies of our dreamers.
We extend an invitation to Get Hitched, Give Hope and its dedicated supporters to experience a tangible form of love by receiving our annual newsletter. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up. You’ll read dream stories and testimonials and learn for yourself how dreams really do come true.
On behalf of Dream Foundation and all the families we are privileged to serve, thank you. You are a blessing to us all.
Thomas Rollerson, Founder/President of Dream Foundation
