So I know you’re all crossing your fingers, but the winner of the first fascinator (the sparkly one) is Sara Bauleke, aka @BellaNotteDC on twitter. And the winner of the second fascinator (the feathery one) is Amanda Howse Butler! Congratulations to both of you and thanks for your comments and tweets!

Hans Rasmussen is not only the BEST (and most honest) insurance agent out there – but he is a GIVER too!! =0) He was a big help at the first Get Hitched Give Hope event and is playing an even bigger role this year!!
He has agreed to donate $5 to our organization for each person who calls him to get a quote!! This call could save you money on your insurance, and if it doesn’t – no worries, stick with the insurance you have AND you’ll be helping to grant wishes!!
So here is his information:

Don’t forget to mention you heard about him through GHGH! (its way easier than saying Get Hitched Give Hope!)

P.S – look for the coolest donation to the swag bag!! The re-usable metal WATER BOTTLE!! THANK YOU HANS FOR YOUR GENEROUS DONATION!!!
At last year’s Get Hitched, Give Hope Brandie bid on–and won!–a nail party with manis and pedis for her and her mom and bridesmaids at Julep Nail Parlor downtown. It was so much fun. And it wasn’t just a fun afternoon with the girls–it was one that felt great, because the money spent on the day all went to the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation.

There was champagne and pampering and general fun…

And some awesome bright toe colors…

Just a few days later I had a blast photographing Brandie’s wedding…you can see how much fun she is…

Brandie treated me to a pedi–how sweet! That’s me with the orange toes…

What a great way to have fun…all while giving back. Thanks to Julep for the incredibly generous donation and thanks to Brandie, for helping us raise $30,000 last year!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock all year, you know about Get Hitched, Give Hope. If you don’t, it’s essentially THIS: A big party for brides and grooms where they can get good deals on fantastic products & services for their wedding by donating to a great cause. The money raised at the cocktail party-slash-auction is used to grant final wishes for Stage 4 breast cancer patients. Can you think of a better way to spend your Thursday night? I can’t!

We have LOTS of great items this year, covering everything from couture gowns to flowers to invites to coordination to photography… but one of our favorites… His and Hers Wedding Bands by local Queen Anne jeweler T. Anthony Sholdt!!
His: Tungsten wedding band with a palladium inlay.
Hers: Diamond eternity band set in palladium with 43 (count ‘em! 43!) round brilliant cut diamonds (.22 carat total weight)

Just wait and see the quality, perfection, and sparkle of this pair up close. Try them on. You’ll like them, I promise.
During our exciting LIVE auction, the opening bid will start WELL below market value, so here’s your chance to get some truly GORGEOUS goods at a GREAT price, all while granting wishes for breast cancer patients.
For more information about the event, organization, vendors, sponsors, and for tickets, go to www.gethitchedgivehope.com.
See you on the 29th!
Reason #23 is a great one. Are you ready?? - DIAMONDS! Yup. We said Diamonds.
So now that we’re a little more than a month away from the big night (October 29th! Buy your tickets here!), it’s time to talk about all the amazing goods that will be up for auction and raffle that night. Here’s a partial list:
It’s going to be one incredible night…hope to see you there!
