Greetings,
As you know, there is severe devastation in Haiti right now in the aftermath of the 7.0 earthquake that hit the island. This is a tragedy not only for the people in Haiti but also for those around the world that have family and friends there. One of our own is just such a person.
David, my good friend and the owner of Lucid Jazz Lounge in Seattle, has family in Haiti. He is leaving tomorrow to go down there to help out in any way that he can. The Seattle jazz community has rallied around him at this difficult time, and we are doing everything we can to help. Here’s two ways you can help:
- Come to Lucid TONIGHT with any kind of donation you can. We will be accepting cash and check donations of any amount and will deposit them directly into David bank account in the morning so that by the time he arrives in Haiti the funds will have cleared.

This is the most direct way you can help out, as all money will be given to those who need it the most by David himself. When he gets there he plans to buy water, first aid supplies, anything that will help.
